When the priority is the most direct connection between rider and sail, the Modular Boom Head delivers it. Its two-collar construction wraps evenly around the mast, distributing rig loads across the full contact area rather than concentrating them at a single point — resulting in a firm, precise connection that transmits input cleanly and holds its position under load.
Each collar is independently adjustable via ClamCleat® tensioners, allowing fine-tuning for both SDM and RDM masts. The system works with the mast's natural bend curve rather than against it, minimising play and keeping power transfer direct and consistent throughout the session.
The "Direct Fit & Twist" interface makes swapping boom heads a matter of seconds. HD and Elite models accept optional Performance Bolts for riders who want every last percentage of stiffness. Fully compatible with all Unifiber Essentials, HD, and Elite boom bodies — components can be mixed, matched, and replaced individually as needed.
Essentials and HD models are supplied with 4.0mm pre-stretched polyester ropes, while the Elite version features 3.8mm Dyneema ropes.
